My 2009 'Elf Fantasy Fair' Dress

 The Elf Fantasy Fair is a major event – in 2009 (25 and 26 April) held for the 9th time! – and revolves around fantasy, the Middle Ages, and Wicca. A whole range of actors, authors, scientists, artists, and musicians will contribute their skills and knowledge to this fantastic festival!

It's located at the largest castle of Holland, Castle de Haar (between Utrecht and Amsterdam). For this event the location is temporarily changed into the Kingdom of Elfie.
And I will be there for the third time!!

And like last year, my mother will make a dress for me!! :)

Based on the Aurora Dress of the movie 'Sleeping Beauty' by Disney.

The shoes!



I allready had this shoes, but they will be perfect!! The color is perfect, and they really look like princess shoes!!
Now I have to find the fabric!

Feb 25
The Fabric!

I found the fabric today! It's not exacly like the 'Aurora' Dress, but I think it's much better then that!! :) (I hope)
The underdress will be made of the Gold fabric. The Pink fabric will be used in the 'upper' dress.
The upper part (of the upper dress) will be decorated with the flower fabric.
The Purple/Pink fabric will be used for the Bow. Its hard to explain in English, but once its more a dress it will be clear!!

The underdress is almost finished!! We als made an 'Under-Under'Dress.

Make the patterns

Today we made all the patterns. Of the corset and the dress. All a lot of work.
You cannot find this pattern elswhere, its home made!!

We also cut everything!

Cutting the corset

The most exiting part of the cutting!! The flower fabric! We desided to only use it on the front of the corset!



Its fantastic!! The front of the corset is also in 2 tones. Pink and Purple.

 It looks FANTASTIC right??? :D I'm very happy with the result!!

The wig, the tiara and the shoes



This is the tiara I bought!!



And the wig (I bought one which is a little more blond)

 

My new shoes, the other ones were not good enough. And I wanted gold shoes. It looks much better with the dress :)
But I couldn't find gold shoes, so I painted them gold :)

Looke better right? :)

Now it looks more like a dress!!

The collar has been sewed on the corset. Still more work to do, but now it really looks like a dress!!
