Here you can follow the making of the dress I will wear at the Elf Fantasy fair 2007!!

The Elf Fantasy Fair is a major event – in 2007 (20, 21 and 22 April) held for the seventh time! – and revolves around fantasy, the Middle Ages, and Wicca. A whole range of actors, authors, scientists, artists, and musicians will contribute their skills and knowledge to this fantastic festival!

It's located at the largest castle of Holland, Castle de Haar (between Utrecht and Amsterdam). For this event the location is temporarily changed into the Kingdom of Elfie.
And I will be there for the second time!! But this year I will have a very cool dress, my mother will make it for me, and designed my me. Its a combination of an Arwen Dress and a Guinevere dress, I hope it will turn out well!!

The Idea

March 3 - I finaly found the fabric!! Its STUNNING!!!!!

March 5 - The First Steps ...

My mother made the pattern of the dress thet I had drawn, and she allready cut it!!
The RED fabric is the underdress

Only after 4 hours my mother called me and asked me to fit it allready, that was quicker then I thought!!!
It was only the first step, and the dress had not a zipper yet, only needles :S haha, so it was really scary to fit

I just ordered this wig

March 6 - The Sleeves ...

March 7 - Cutting the Upper Dress ...

March 8 - Fitting the peices together ....

As you can see the inside of the dress is the same color as the underdress :)

Tomorrow my mother and I will cut out the sleeves. They are circles of 1.40cm wide!!! (55")

March 9 - The Wig....

March 9 - Shoes and Sleeves

I finaly found the shoes :) I will decorate it with flowers (from the dress)

March 15 - Almost a dress ...

It more and more look like a dress

The sleeves are still put together with needles,
my mother says that is the last part, and the underdress need to be finished (the neck)
It will be decorated with leafs which are on the dress allready. I hope it will turn out well !!

March 17 - The Leaf Circlet

I just bought this Circlet :) I love it, and I hope it will look the same as on the photos :)
Its Hand Made!! Maybe I will remove the Amber Stone, and replace it for a red one, but I have to look when I received it.

March 22 - The Necklace

I bought 2, so I can choose :) Here is the other one ....

March 27 - In the open air ...

The Dress in the open air!!
It was very exited to go with the dress outside because I thought it would be very gold (tooo gold) but the colors are amasing!!

On this photos you can see the dress very good, not yet finished, the last details still need to be done!!
